How to set your eBike legal limits via CYC Motor (BAC) mobile app

The most common legal standard for ebikes are 250 Watts with a maximum speed of up to 25km/h or 15.5mph. We strongly advise you to familiarize yourself with your region's legal limits and set up "Street Mode" via the CYC Motor (BAC) mobile app accordingly.

Set up your CYC ebike according to your region's legal limit with these 5 steps:

Step 1:

Enter the CYC Motor (BAC) mobile app and connect to your ebike. You will not be able to change settings if you are not connected.

Step 2:

Go to the Settings tab and enter Modes & Levels.

Step 3:

Look at the Street Mode parameters for both throttle and PAS, and enter the values according to your region's requirements as shown below.

Step 4:

Change the Speed Regulator Mode to Torque Mode with speed limiting and save to flash to save changes. To change this- go to the bottom group of parameters under Modes & Levels titled Others. The 1st parameter underneath this tab is the Speed Regulator Mode. Tap the arrow until "Torque Mode with speed limiting" appears as shown below.

Remember to save to flash in the top right corner in the main settings dashboard to ensure that the progress will not be lost when shutting down your bike.

Step 5:

Change the mode on your 500c or 750c display to Street Mode (marked with an S on the display; R is for Race Mode).

Double-press the POWER button to change to Street Mode if you're not in Street Mode already. Note that this will not change the mode in real-time but rather the start-up mode and set the display image.

FINISHED!
